Clubs Survey

On-line Survey - Clubs

Please be reassured that this is purely a statistical exercise; none of the questions are intended to be judgemental or embarrassing. You will not be contacted about the information provided unless you request a response in the final section.

It is expected that the survey form will be completed by the Club Secretary or other club official.

We are conducting this survey because there is very little information available to the national target shooting organisations about the number of people who are disabled or less able within the sport, and how well the sport is catering for them.

The information gathered from this survey will be very valuable to the sport in a variety of ways, including:

  • Lobbying about intended legislation that might damage the sport
  • Helping the sport's governing bodies to assess the demand for target shooting facilities of various types around the country, and to review the services that they offer to their members and affiliated bodies
  • Enabling us to help clubs, shooting grounds and associations to improve accessibility and opportunities for disabled and less able members
  • Supporting future applications by clubs and associations for grant funding
  • Promoting the sport in a positive way to influential decision-makers, the media and potential supporters.

Answers in this section do not need to be precise; an educated guess will do

*The distinction between “disabled” and “less able” is not clearly defined; the latter term is used for those who have some impairment (e.g. poor vision, arthritis/rheumatism) which affects their shooting in some way, but they do not regard themselves as being “disabled”.
